Book Review: You’re Loved No Matter What

As a recovering perfectionist, this book proved to be a breath of fresh air.

You’re Loved No Matter What is a beautiful mix of story and practical application for those trying to live life perfectly. Holley’s own years as a perfectionist and the wisdom she garnered through the healing process rang through, loud and clear.

In this book, Holley helps the reader discover why perfection isn’t necessary. It’s true, perfection’s not for you! Together, she and the reader delve into the freedom that’s already available as well as the heart need for perfect love. Can I say Just Jesus and Amen?!

Later in the book, Holley encourages readers to consider their relationships and the impact those relationships have had. Then, there’s the pact. The pact is the head nod that says I’ll be a safe place for others.  It’s a head nod that treasures others, treasuring God most of all.

From a practical side, Holley Gerth weaves experience and steps for a path to freedom. Of course, the Lord is at the head of this path to freedom, but isn’t it nice to have practical steps as well? A listing of apps and prayers is included, practical ideas that put feet on the healing process.

She offers study questions at the back of the book as well. They are thought-provoking and not your typical, run-of-the-mill, regurgitate-the-answer style of questions. They are conversation starters and would be key as a group study tool.

The book is available now. You can pick up a copy at virtually any bookstore, CBD included.

Enjoy the read, my friends.

Note: I received a free copy of this book from the publisher for review purposes. Scout’s honor, these are my own thoughts concerning this beautiful book. 🙂

  1. Kristi, I fight perfectionist and performance tendencies, too. This sounds like a book I should add to my to-read list. Was so nice meeting you at FCW this week!
