Look at this little ditty that arrived in my mailbox yesterday. Isn’t she sweet?! Every page has a Scripture on it, personalized, with my name. I cried. Good tears. Then, I went in search of the anonymous soul that sent it. Found her! She’s a gem.
So what does that have to do with a practical tip for your Wednesday?
Whether electronic or the good old fashioned pen and pencil variety, journals are essential in my life for writing down “God” lessons, Bible studies, notes at church, prayers, thanksgiving, praise, dreams, etc. Sometimes they are stashed away for years, but then comes that moment. It’s that moment when they are put into play once again. And I can remember. Vividly. Because it was written.
I encourage you to consider a journal, if you don’t have one already. Choose a style that works for you. Most importantly, it’s very important to write down those things God shows you, His healing in your life, His goodness, and more. It’s easy to forget when left to memory, but it’s easy to recall and relish in once again when it is written.
In case you’re interested in purchasing the neat little journal pictured above, it can be found at Paper Sunday.
Enjoy your Wednesday…and that new journal.
