Today’s practical tip is an easy one to instill God’s wisdom in the children in your life or even your own: read a Proverb a day.
There are thirty-one Proverbs, one for each day of most months. If you miss a few days, it’s easy to jump back on the bandwagon by simply following the days of the month. For example, on the first of the month, read Proverbs 1. On the second day of the month, read Proverbs 2, and so forth. If you miss a day or two, hop back into Proverbs 5 on the 5th of the month. It’s an easy way to keep track.
If you’re really ambitious, you can change versions each month. The Message has been a real joy to read through lately for our family. God’s wisdom jumps to life in a whole new way through this version.
How about you? Do you have any practical tips for instilling the Word in the children of your life or your own? Feel free to post them in the comments below.
Have a wonderful week!
