The star of today’s practical tip is an “I won’t do without” utensil at our house.
It’s a bottle opener.
Like Superman, Batman, and Spiderman, these little gadgets come to the rescue when your strongman is gone. They are jar opening life-savers for sore joints or if a cantankerous jar has simply made its way to your shelves. These gadgets are undefeated in the battle against tight seals in my house.
Simply pop the bottle opener under the lip of the jar lid, pictured below, and press upward until the seal pops.
Viola! You’ll have an open jar with very little effort.

3 Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God.
They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers.
Instead, they should teach others what is good.
4 These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children,
5 to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.
