This Is For You and Me as We Enter 2017

Father,

Thank you for the one reading this. Thank you that we can link arms across the miles and lift our voices to You. Thank You for loving us – even when the situation doesn’t warrant it. We love You. We worship Your holy name.

You’ve brought us to a new year. Beautiful! What are Your plans for us this year, Lord? What do you have in store? How can we glorify You and lift the name of Jesus? Guide us with Your loving hand. We’ll trust You. We’ll lean not on our own understanding. We’ll acknowledge You and know You will make our paths straight. (Prov. 3:5-6)

Even more than the yearly plan, what are Your plans for us today? Give us eyes to see Your rightous plans. Lord, please give us our daily bread. (Matt. 6:11) Show us how to deny ourselves, take up our cross today and follow You. (Luke 9:23)

May both the beautiful eyes reading this and I find 2017 a year for being “real”, a year for drawing closer to You in ways we’ve never experienced before. May it be a year of “dailies” as we look to to You each day for guidance, direction, forgiveness, and love. And may You gather every ounce of the glory.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

      1. We’re neighbors – yay! I’ll be hopping over to visit you soon, Mary! (And thank you for the kind comment about this site. I feel very blessed to have both a designer and programmer who helped bring the vision to reality.)

  1. I so love the image of this internet community linking arms in prayer and faith. Most of us will never meet on this planet, but we find unity of purpose and love for our Savior, and there we are — side by side.

  2. Kristi,
What a beautiful prayer. I said the prayer and personalized it as I read. I also prayed for you and this coming year. May you know God’s anointing as you write and may your readers know Him in a more personal way because of it.
    Have a great day!

  3. I join you in praying that I “find 2017 a year for being “real”, a year for drawing closer to You in ways we’ve never experienced before.” Thanks, Kristi!

  4. Kristi — How beautiful. Thank you for offering up 2017 in prayer. May God give us eyes to see and ears to hear His perfect plans for 2017. Have a blessed new year, Kristi. Thanks for sharing at #ChasingCommunity today. ((hug))
