A Mom’s Prayers for Her Son + a Giveaway

What prayer books do you have on your bookshelf?

During this Pray series, a few friends will be joining me with reviews of their bookshelf choices. Today’s choice happens to be one that I read for Revell Publishing. It’s my first adventure with reviewing, and this book is a keeper! In fact, it’s sooo good, that I’d love to give a copy away, to ensure it gets into someone’s hands for good use. Please read to the bottom for more information.

In the meantime, it’s already available on the market at retailers such as Christianbook Distributors and other book retailers. (Feel free to click on my affiliate link for CBD on the right of the blog.) Trust me, you won’t regret buying this gem.

A Mom's Prayers for Her Son: Praying for Every Part of His Life - By: Rob Teigen, Joanna Teigen

There’s a new book in town, and it’s well worth a mama’s time.

A Mom’s Prayers for Her Son: Praying for Every Part of His Life by Rob and Joanna Teigen* is more than just a book, it’s a flashlight for prayer. It lights the way through seventy-seven prayers, calling mothers into trust and conversation with God for their sons in the areas of wisdom, pride, stress, addiction, courage, rest, and many other, well thought-out areas that are often not included in prayer books. (And, I must admit that it was easy to add my daughter to some of the prayers as well.)

A bonus within each section is the portion of the prayer that is specifically aimed at and for the mothers. Mamas, we’re not forgotten!

The topics are in-depth and intimate, their light reaching into the corners of communion with God that sometimes remain dark. The prayers are easy to read and locate for specific times of need. This useful tool could easily cover all age spans as well.

Additionally, stories from various mothers are interspersed throughout the book. Their very “real” stories of struggle, trust, and triumph bathe the reader with encouragement and hope.

This book would make a great gift for Christmas, for new mothers, mothers on the battle front, and any woman who would care to set her son in front of the Lord through prayer. I highly recommend A Mom’s Prayers for Her Son.
* I was provided a complimentary copy by Revell in exchange for my original review.

  1. I pray for my boys. I pray for their future wives (because goodness knows they’ll have to be special women to be right for my boys! LOL). I pray for needs of friends and family and people I only know online. I pray about our budget. I pray for wisdom to extend grace to my boys when I really feel like yelling. Thank you for the giveaway!

  2. Kristi,
Thank you for such a kind and gracious review. I pray that our book will take mothers to the feet of Jesus. It is there that we find true peace and freedom from fear, anger, and despair. Your love for God and heart to serve him among your children encourages me to lean on him even more. Thank you again!
