Over It. {Book Review}

Over It SPINE (1)

Do you use a measuring stick?

You know ~ to measure your worth? Do you inch away value like ticks on a ruler, comparing yourself to “her” good, this one’s better, and that one’s best?

Mmmm. (I’m nodding my head here.) Many of us have.

But does God?

Does He stretch us against other gals, setting us side-by-side along a 5′, 6′, or 7′ ruler, comparing and nodding in approval?

Boy, wouldn’t we all be in trouble if that were the case! Yet, that’s often how we determine our own identity and worth.

Kristine Brown takes readers on a journey, a boycott of sorts, against the comparison ruler. Over It. Conquering Comparison To Live Out God’s Plan goes head-to-head with the comparison game we females so easily entangle ourselves with.

The path Kristine traverses highlights several women from the Bible. You’ll likely know their names, but Kristine has an uncanny way of offering their stories in a new fashion, with a comparison bent. These gals of the ages don role model status for seeing ourselves God’s way.

Ch 1 faith statement

Her writing is gentle, but the words pack power. They usher readers to the throne of God Almighty, offering a view of self-identity from the eyes of our Creator.

In Over It. the struggle with comparison is unearthed. In its rich dirt remains the treasure of God’s uniqueness – our true identity. It’s worth more than gold ~ especially to girls who often feel “less than”.

If you battle self-criticism, self-loathing, or simply the “not good enoughs”, consider reading through these pages. Consider allowing Kristine to point you toward victory with a solid, “I’m over it!”
