There have been many pages of growth which have graced my path over the years. As an avid reader, so how could they not? Some have proven to be as valuable as spiritual gold in rearing this child of God, while others have been a little less so.
Regardless, it seems trustworthy to share this list with you now in case there are glimpses of growth ready to be gleaned. Enjoy!
This was one of the first jewels to grace my path. From its pages, I came to the knowledge of Mercy Ships and Youth With A Mission, as well as a beautiful testimony of a man hearing and following God.
Again, another personal testimony “jewel” in hearing and following the Lord, not to mention a testament to the awesome power of our Lord. My Lord used the words of this man, David Wilkerson, to feed my spirit as we moved from place to place with the military.
A wonderful tool of encouragement used as I grew in the Lord.
Bruchko opened further the world of missions.
This gem is still in use today in our household.
A must-have for certain, this book opens eyes to the fact that others often feel loved through different means. Some sense “love” through quality time while others embrace “love” when they are given atta-boys. It’s been a key aid in understanding our children.
This lady is a spiritual hero for sure. Corrie ten Boom gives account of her time in a Nazi death camp.
Indeed, there is often a battle in our thoughts. Joyce Meyer helps to pull the covers off darkness.
This gem is more of a study & book. It certainly can be used by a great God to usher us into realization and understanding.
This little ditty, as well as another by Bruce Wilkinson, Secrets of the Vine, are keepers for certain.
Offense; it’s everywhere yet we are often blind to its darkness. Take a peek through this book and see your life changed by a very real God as He shines the light on the offense in your life.
Short book, long on effect. I’m a bit partial to Dr. Rutland, as the Lord opened a door for me to be a youth counselor in one of his summer camps in south Georgia years ago. Regardless of partiality, his reads, from what I have experienced, are the hand of God at work.
