A Christmas Memory Verse & MORE! #WORD17, Week 44
How about a Christmas memory verse to tuck into our hearts?
Say hello to our final 2017 memory verse. And who doesn’t like exceedingly great joy?! The Magi viewed the birth of Jesus in this way. How do we view that same birth?
Friend, we gathered 12 memory verses this year. Funny enough, another “exceedingly” started our 2017.
Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Eph. 3:20 WEB)
If all 12 verses aren’t tucked into your memory by now, never fear. This isn’t a competition. It’s simply us depositing God’s good and powerful Word in our hearts so that we might not sin against Him. We deposit His Word because it’s our sword – a defensive AND offensive weapon.
For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Heb. 4:12 WEB
What a power-packed tool!
What’s New in 2018?
WORD18 brings us the joy of learning ONE PSALM. Yep. You read that right. We’ll be digging into either Psalm 34 or 51 this year – 2 verses per month. By year’s end, we’ll have the entire Psalm tucked deep into the heart.
Good stuff!
But I’m not picking the Psalm. Readers are.
To vote, just go to my Facebook page here, Instagram, or comment below by simply noting “34” or “51”.
Easy, right? Let your Psalm voice be heard.

I love the idea of memorizing a Psalm next year, Kristi. I’m grateful for all those verses memorized {in King James!} when I was a child … it sure gets more challenging as we get older.
Meanwhile, all those verses, all those hymns come back in the waking-in-the-night hours …
It DOES get harder the older we get, doesn’t it, Linda? John 3:16 sticks in my head like glue due to that childhood. Scripture in songs as well.
