Higher

As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:9 NIV
Recently I was flying back to Hawaii after a wonderful encounter with God at a conference in Australia. During the flight back, I peered out the tiny airplane window at the Pacific Ocean. The clouds above it were beautiful and thin enough that the water below was visible. Yet, the waves, which so easily pound the shore here in Hawaii seemed nonexistent in that sea of water. The rolling waves were likely there, yet from my vantage point, high up, there was nothing but a beautiful, peaceful scene.

The scene in front of me made me wonder…
“Lord, this must be just a tiny glimpse of Your view.
From Your vantage point, the troubles that loom in front of our eyes must really not be that big. Oh, I know You care immensely about us, but You’re so big that even the biggest problems are solvable in Your world. After all, You made all of this.”

Sweet Branches, He is big enough to take care of every one of our problems.  He’s bigger than….more capable than…more able than…me. Take that trouble to Him today, won’t you?  He’s ready. He’s able. He’s love.

So, today Lord, I hand You my problems.  Whether it’s a failing marriage, disobedient children, grumbling, gossiping, fault-finding, lying, unforgiveness,…a mess…..I open my hands to You. Take it, Lord, and heal my heart.Forgive me for holding on to it and failing to trust You. I now choose to trust You and only You. I know You will see me through this time. These waves that loom will be smoothed by You and only You, for You, oh God, have the ways, the thoughts and the vision. To You be the glory.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Have a fabulous week Sweet Branches, bearing much fruit.

With Love,
Kristi
