My Love/Hate Relationship with Mothering

Mothering and I have a love/hate relationship.
I love the idea of being a good mom. I want to be one. But there’s a struggle and underlying uncertainty with each attempt. I simply don’t feel good enough.
And I hate it.
It’s a vicious cycle.
Try.
Fail.
Self scorn.
Mothering pity party for 1.
Attempt again….

Kristi, I love your honesty here. I was recently asked to share my thoughts on homeschooling and they tumbled out sort of like yours today. It’s an amazing journey, and I wouldn’t trade it, but there are days when it’s just HARD. So thankful for a God who does not forsake us during the days of hard.
So, so thankful for our awesome God….
Kristi, I love your honesty in this post. And the ending … praying we all have Godfidence as we walk alongside our Heavenly Father.
Yes, praying we all have Godfidence, Crystal. 🙂 xo
I love this, Kristi! Godfidence is my new favorite word! 🙂
Blessings and smiles,
Lori
I surely can’t relate to this level of motherhood. I’ve mothered a few puppies and I love/hate it too though. 🙂
