Kristi Woods is an author and speaker who shares stories about Jesus and every day heroes in contemporary Christian romance and Christian nonfiction. More About Kristi

Kristi was a mail-order bride. Sort of. She and her retired Navy man, Tony, met in a letter over twenty years ago. They became Desert Storm pen pals in 1991 when her letter to “Any Service Person” was mailed into his life and, consequently, he sailed into hers. (Read more of their story here.)

After Tony & she got saved and then baptized in a little lake near Newnan, Georgia, he reenlisted in the Navy. During their military years, they washed dishes and tossed laundry over chairs in Honolulu, Tampa, Atlanta, Virginia Beach, Jacksonville, and rural, northeastern North Carolina. Tough duty stations, some of those, but someone had to do it. 🙂 However, her hubby’s now retired from the US Navy, and they, along with their three now-adult children, a daughter-in-love, a son-in-love and a growing crowd of grandbabies have planted roots in Oklahoma.

And God? He continues to stand at the helm. He’s taken Kristi from the tangles of depression, the dream nightmare of perfection, the nuance of pride, the cloak of rejection, and more. He’s led her from nonfiction writing to Christian novels–all for His glory.
