Do You Like to Pray God’s Word?

Do you like to pray God’s word?

You know, put scripture into prayer and set it at the throne of God Almighty. Maybe it’s for yourself, a spouse, child, or someone else…

For 2 years I’ve been journaling my scripture prayers over our 3 kids. The list is astonishingly long – not to my credit, but to His.

I believe there’s power when praying the scriptures over our children and loved ones.

I believe His word is true and what better words to speak over them than truth?

So whether it’s your child, fiance´, spouse, parent, self, or friend…

You’re invited to join me and a crew of fellow prayer warriors. We’re Praying His Word.

We’ll connect for 1 minute via video on Instagram and Facebook each Tuesday and Thursday.

It’s called Praying His Word.

I’d love to have you join us – anytime! The segment is taped and ready. We can pray together any time of the day! Isn’t that fun?!

Throw your comments and likes on the post, “share” it even, because all interaction helps more folks see it which = more prayers and more of God’s word hitting airwaves everywhere.

Score!

Oh, and if you follow via Facebook, make sure to like my writer page and even a few posts. (I feel a little odd offering that, but due to FB ways and woes, it’s like insurance for continuing to see the videos and posts.) Without socializing, the “theys” think we’re really not friends. Silly them!

No sense trying to stop us. After all, we’re Praying His Word.

You're invited! Every Tues & Thurs we're #prayinghisword Share on X

Have you ever asked, “Where are you, God?”

I have.

Truth be told, most of us probably have. We’re not alone. And isn’t it great that God “gets it”?

Here’s a post at Life Letter Cafe you might enjoy. It’s about that very topic. It’s One Scripture to Trust When Asking, “Lord, Where are You?”

May the peace of Christ overwhelm your soul in magnificient ways. Until next time….

  1. When there are no words, in those deepest saddest moments, there is His Word. To pray the sacred words He’s given us right back to Him is a powerful joy, a deep release of our burdens, fear, grief.

Because sometimes there are no words, are there …

  2. Kristi, what a great idea! I have prayed God’s word at times for me and friends and loved ones, but I don’t make it a regular practice. In Edith Schaeffer’s book, A Life of Prayer, she talks about the beauty and importance of praying the Word.

Thanks for this reminder. I might try to join in sometime with you on Tues. and Thurs. Blessings to you! I’m your neighbor at #TestimonyTuesday today.

    1. You’re welcome to join anytime, Gayl. And thanks for mentioning Edith Schaeffer’s book. I love a good read.

  3. I’m liking the videos too, Kristi! This is a great idea, friend. And yes, yes, yes, to praying God’s Word. I have scriptures for all my kids. Prayed Colossians 1:9-12 for my Turkish Sister for years, and just now prayed Ephesians 1:15-19 for Grace, new Turkish daughter. I send her the scriptures on Whatsapp and later I can look at our conversation and pray them again. Sorry, maybe I just need to write a blog post myself on this?? 🙂 But you got me excited here!

    Excited for what you’re doing.

  4. I’ve been so thankful for God’s words to pray over my kids at times when I haven’t known what else to say. Blessings to you, Kristi, as you promote this wonderful practice.

  5. I’m a sticky note prayer person. I have God’s word written out as prayers on sticky notes all over my house. Love community prayer as well. Headed over to facebook to check out your videos now. Thanks Kristi!
