15 Best Books to Gift this Christmas

If you have a reader in your life, check out the below list of best books to gift this Christmas. You’ll be glad you did!
You’ll find Christian fiction as well as Christian non-fiction. As a writer of both, I like to cover all the bases. ๐ Find nearly all on Amazon and others at Christian and independent bookstores.
Of course, I’m partial to Christian prints, as they feed the soul. If it’s a novel, it’ll provide clean entertainment intertwined, often, with a spiritual message. Some non-believers who won’t pick up a non-fiction book open a fisted heart and hand to fiction.
Never discount the possibility of story. Jesus didn’t.
What Books to Give for Christmas
Any. All. YES!
Book lovers love books.
Make certain they’re age appropriate, and don’t forget ebooks and audio as well as hardback and soft cover. Knowing your recipient’s preferred genre helps as well.
The Bible
Of course, as Christians, the Bible, the all-time best-selling book, sits at the top of that list.
Best Books to Gift a Woman
Content is king, and a book’s cover catches the eye. Keep that in mind.
Also, find and buy in her genre, whether it’s Christian nonfiction, devotionals, Contemporary Christian Romance, Historical Romance, Women’s Fiction, or others.
Below are several Christian nonfiction options. Keep reading for Christian fiction as well.
Christian Nonfiction Books as Christmas Presents
From the first page, I realized my friend Kristine’s words targeted tender spots and sank deep. Grab a copy of this warm hug wrapped up in words that challenge and encourage, too. Refilled is fuel for your faith.
Abby weaves words from a place of authentic faith. That’s a bonus for readers, because you’ll find that authenticity among the pages of this Christian Living book, too. Hear God today, friend. Let go of tomorrow. It’s Surrendering Certainty by Abby McDonald.
When life unexpectedly shatters, as Lisa Appelo writes, “Your unexpected future may feel like Plan B, but it’s God’s purposeful Chapter Two for you as He reshapes your shattered heart. With each tender, intentional step, you’ll see you will not merely survive this, but that life can be good again.”
Compilations
Each of the below story collections recently released is sure to energize your faith, hug your heart, and offer nightly reading of the positive kind –and in manageable portions. You’ll find at least one of my stories included in each of these titles, and I hope God encourages you through them as much as He did me through their real-life unfolding.
Christmas Gift Books
Christmas Devotionals
Cheryl Barker, a real-life friend of mine (Ha! Isn’t that funny to say?) from Fellowship of Christian Writers, published a beautiful book this year. It’s a Christmas devotional, but so much more.
In Christmas for the Heart, you’ll find prayers, memories, and other reasons you’ll want to gift this one over and over. (And keep it to pass down, too.)
Christmas Advent Devotionals
Take a fresh look this Advent Season. Ever considered it from the perspective of the Holy Spirit? This soft cover devotional, The Spirit of Christmas by Cynthia Ruchti, makes a great resource for personal or group study and as a gift.
Gift Books for Women
As Author Julie Sunne writes, “How do we trust God for good when everything looks so wrong? How do we hold on to hope when our world is falling apart?
Come rest with the One whose very nature promises hope!”
Gift Book for the Military Wife
101 Prayers for Military Wives is an invitation to commune with and trust the Almighty with daily life as a military spouse. Bask in hope-filled conversation, lay out your requests, and lend a listening ear. Utter these prayers threaded with hope, ones hemmed in with peace. And cling to the Living God as you navigate each step.

A beautiful mix of love, suspense, and faith. Lori DeJong knocked it out of the park, creating her own lane, in fact, with this new romantic suspense title that even contemporary romance readers like me will love.

It’s 30 days in Proverbs to help recalibrate your heart from fear, anxiety, and all the things that weigh us down. Enjoy this study from Lyli Dunbar.
