Are You Filled…or Empty?
Sometimes we have an empty spot. We can’t quite put our finger on it, but something is missing. We may be a “Susie Sunday”. We go to church, volunteer for various committees, and involve ourselves in various church activities. Or, when we’re convinced we’re simply not good enough. It’s impossible to forgive us. Regardless of the scenario, the empty spot remains.
Here’s my story.
Are you ready to fill the emptiness? It’s possible because nothing is impossible for God. I know first hand. Jesus fills the notorious empty spot. He forgives our sins when we ask for forgiveness, washing us white as snow. He promises life eternal and makes the emptiness go.
Mind if I ask again? Are you ready to be filled, to be saved? Are you ready to have the certainty of heaven? According to the Bible, we are saved simply by confessing with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believing in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead. (Romans 10:9) If so, it’s as simple as a heartfelt prayer like the one below. I invite you to join me.
Prayer for Salvation
Dear Jesus,
I surrender my life to You. Thank You for welcoming me. Please fill the empty spot in my heart, Lord. I confess that You are Lord and ask You to forgive my sins. Wash me white as snow Lord. I want to be clean. Thank You that I can count on spending eternity with You in heaven, and thank You for putting the “old” behind me. I love You, Lord.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
The Bible says that angels celebrate at the salvation of just one. Let’s celebrate too! I’d love to hear from you.
Be encouraged today my friend. Dig into His word. The New Testament is a good starting point. But don’t do this alone. Join a church or simply let another Christian know you are born again. The best is yet to come.
Much Love,
Kristi
